** *Title : C++/ Java Location : Bay Area, CA, Rate : $50/hr Duration : 6 Months **Responsibilities* include designing, developing Installers for *Windows, Unix platforms using BOBJ inhouse tool*, IAF - Installer Action Framework. There will be 3 installers to support Windows, Unix and Linux. Install engineer will be working closely with development teams and build infrastructure team to define, to provide guidance to, and to manage software build and packaging strategies and plans. Responsibilities also include creation, maintenance and managing software release mechanics (including any required automation tools or scripts). Install Engineer will also be involved in the design and analysis of other programs (IM Aurora) and systems that affect the installers, such as system configuration and the system build process. Expertise required with C++/ Java. Knowledge of SQL Server or Oracle database technologies. *Skill Set and Experience* • Experience with build automation tools such as MS Build, Team Build, AntHill Pro, CruiseControl, etc. • Expertise required with C++/ Java. Knowledge of SQL Server or Oracle database technologies. • Three years experience in Release, Configuration, and Change Management process. • Understanding of various SDLC programs. • Understands importance of accuracy and responsiveness with a strong sense of urgency. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to impart knowledge to others. • Excellent written communication skills are a must.
