*A Columbus, Ohio group is looking for an Enterprise Data Architect to act as a Data Modeler for an exciting project. This person will be responsible for the following: -Business requirements analysis and derive good understanding of data needs to satisfy the business reporting and analytical needs -Performance Gap analysis for the new data needs against existing data warehouse data model and Identify data model enhancement / impact Analysis for captured requirements; -Perform source data analysis and profiling to understand source data and determine the system of record based on business requirements and EDW data analysis -Working with technology teams who are supporting source systems to understand source data constraints and delta logic as well as extract logic to meet the business requirements -Design logical data model for desired functionality based on business reporting and analytical requirements, integrate the new data with existing EDW data model and Documenting Data Owner and Data Definition in Erwin -Understand reporting and ad hoc analytical usage of the new data model and propose physical database design recommendations -Produce physical data model and proper indexing that promote fast data retrieval based on BI usage -Produce DDL and DML for implementing physical data structures -Perform source to target data mapping with accurate transformation rules and business logic to transform source data element into EDW target data element -Responsible for review and manage modeling deliverables based on data specification -Responsible for managing and reporting status on modeling deliverables -Follow, Maintain and enhance enterprise data model development standards -Understand overall EDW subject areas overview and review of all modeling objects Data Modeling Deliverables: -Requirements to Data Model Mapping (Metrics to data elements level) -ER Diagrams in Erwin modeling tool -Data Entity and Attribute Definitions documented in Erwin. -Data owner, data CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) process, Cross Subject Area integration in Data Modeling Functional Specifications -Summary Data Requirements Analysis and Modeling in Erwin -Views (One-to-One and Special Views) modeling in Erwin and Physical instantiation in Data Bases -Physical DDL generation from ERWin model to EDW databases (including base tables, views and aggregation tables.
