Analyzing test needs, co-ordinating test efforts and creating
and executing test scripts and reporting results
Description of Work and Defined Deliverables (What the contractor will be
doing on a day-to-day basis):
A Test Analyst will be required to create and execute test
cases\scripts and document results
The successful candidate will also be required to utilize Rational tools to
produce
high quality deliverables to stakeholders
Responsibilities:
. Apply analysis concepts, techniques, tools and standards to support
assigned project.
. Prepare detailed testing and other documentation, as required
. Perform software troubleshooting
. Verify and editing test data in new or existing systems
. Write comprehensive application quality assurance test plans
. Test and verify system and database models to ensure quality and integrity
. Implement software testing processes and best practices.
. Implement the test strategy (architecture, framework, tools, etc).

Job Description Overview
A Test Analyst will be required to create and execute test cases\scripts and
document results.
The successful candidate will also be required to utilize Rational tools to
produce high quality deliverables to stakeholders.
Profile:
. Working knowledge in software testing methodologies and processes.
. Software testing experience in regression, integration, system and
interface testing phases.
. Experience with various industry software testing tools.
. Knowledge of healthcare standards and practices, minimum 2 consecutive
years.
. Knowledge of IT system in the healthcare industry, minimum 2 consecutive
years.
. Knowledge of software development life cycle working, RUP preferred.
. Knowledge of software test automation processes
. Knowledge of Traditional Waterfall Development methodology.
. Knowledge of Agile Development Methodology
. Knowledge of software performance testing.
Responsibilities:

REQUIREMENTS
. Strong organizational skills (multi-tasking and prioritization tasks).
. Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
. Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
. Ability to communicate at various domain and technical levels
. Must exhibit a sense of responsibility with a focus on quality
deliverables.
. Must have a minimal of 2 consecutive years in healthcare insurance
Must have experience working in both Traditional Waterfall methodology and
Agile Development Methodology
. Must have current use of current version of Rational Testing Products
including, Test Manager, Manual Tester,
Functional Tester and Performance Tester.
Experience developing Automation scripts using Rational Functional Tester is
a plus.
. Testing/Quality background is preferred.
. An understanding of systems concepts, techniques, tools, and standards
PC third-party products (MS Office, SQL, etc.) is required.
. Ability to write SQL queries
. Ability to analyze a database and understand the relationships between
tables.
. Ability to perform a trace against the database.
