*Job Description:* * * *Data Quality Analyst| Position Description * *About the Position: * The role of the Data Quality Analyst is to stage, profile, analyze, validate, and report on data to support the storage and provision of external data for the purpose of managing credit losses. This includes understanding data as it relates to default, foreclosure, and other mortgage data concepts. *Responsibilities: * The role of the Data Quality Analyst is to measure the quality of data coming into the external sources. ETL processes for various data will be executed across multiple subject areas, and the resulting data sets will require profiling based on business rules. Responsible for noting, logging, tracking, and escalating data quality issues discovered in the data sets. Analyze incoming data submissions from multiple sources. Support the ongoing development and refinement of a data quality issue tracking tool. Support ad hoc data validation requests and ongoing requests for data from workstreams and business partners. *Qualifications: * Experience using Data Insight At least two years of proven experience in data quality analysis and/or profiling. At least five years of progressively responsible experience in data analysis in the context of accounting or finance. Expert knowledge and extensive use of SQL Working knowledge and demonstrated use of Microsoft Access and Excel. Expert knowledge in one or both preferred. Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to the position. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and business experience. Experience with and knowledge of good data management practices *Nice to Have Skills: * Experience developing and using SAS to analyze data, especially SAS DataFlux products Knowledge of internal Fannie Mae data and systems Knowledge of Mortgage Loan Servicing data attributes Credit risk management or other financial accounting background preferred.
