We are looking for a Lead QA. This contractual position is located in downtown Chicago, IL. Durations are 6 Months. We need someone with Summit/MiSYS in combination with Derivatives, Stock, Bonds or other Financial trading experience. To both develop manual and automated test suites and to conduct testing, of new and existing software applications, by executing automated and manual testing methods and procedures and generating reports Software Testing Policies and Standards. Represent testing team and participates in reviews of use cases and other requirements documentation to obtain an understanding of systems changes in preparation for test case development. Write and develop new manual and automated end user test cases. Provide input on estimation of time allocation for projects. Execution of manual and automated end user test cases. Track all results, problems and defects throughout the testing cycle and report status updates for the team. Report on defect tracking metrics for the team. Expected to provide valuable input on process improvements. May be called upon to supervise staff members indirectly by prioritizing work loads and providing input on performance appraisals and performance management issues. SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Windows Excel Rational/Mercury tools Intermediate relational database(SQL/MS Access) skills 5-7 years of QA/testing experience 1-2 years of supervisory/lead experience is preferred 4 years bachelors degree (preferably in Computer Science) or applicable business degree (Finance/Accounting/Economics) or certification in automated (Rational/Mercury) tools. Must have excellent communication (verbal, written) skills Requires expert knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, such as Waterfall, or Agile. Multi-tasking and time management abilities are a necessity. Ability to work at ease with both development and non-technical users.
