Job Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior Oracle Analyst to support the internally built ERP Billing System. In addition to supporting users on the functionality of the product, the position will work to improve internal reporting options and data delivery. Ideally an improved Business Intelligence Environment will evolve to help the internal users do their jobs. This position will be responsible for supporting the current application but also for future minor and major enhancements that are already scheduled. They are a small company with a dynamic and fun work environment. Things change quickly, so flexibility is a useful attribute. We're looking for someone who can work independently, but still thrive in a team environment.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to: * Provide support of the internal billing system and the data integration required for the system to function. This requires extensive knowledge and experience with PL/SQL, SQL and UNIX shell scripts. * Provide ad-hoc report support while working to develop a robust reporting environment using OLAP and customer-facing reporting tools. * Provide general technical troubleshooting related to Oracle and the Oracle billing system to the following teams: Software Development, Billing, Finance and Operations. * Share responsibility for the overall architecture of the billing tables. * Assist as needed in development tasks outside of billing, using PL/SQL and UNIX shell scripts. Skills & Qualifications: �X Minimum 5 years experience in the same or similar position. �X Strong ability to design functional database solutions in an already existing and functioning database. �X Extensive experience with SQL and PL/SQL. �X Ability to troubleshoot random issues, including (but not limited to) Oracle Reports, the Oracle Application Server, Oracle OLAP cubes, UNIX shell scripts and PL/SQL procedures. �X Ability to provide support to internal teams outside of business hours. �X Extremely detail-oriented, creative, dependable and trustworthy, with positive attitude. �X Flexible enough to take-on a pre-existing system and make it your own. �X Strong analytical and communication skills are required, as well as an ability to multitask, collaborate, and work well within a team environment. Preferred Skills and Attributes: �X Experience with database and query tuning for performance. �X Experience with reporting tools (such as Oracle Reports) and OLAP cubes is a plus. �X Experience with Oracle Applications Server/Portal is a plus. �X Fast learner. �X Interest in career growth.
