Position title: *BI Functional Architect (Business Objects, BW and
Datastage)*
Required experience includes: *
*Primary Focus (at least 80%): BI Functional Architecture*
· Analyze and translate business needs to business and functional
requirements
· Define "scenarios" and "dependencies" by identifying commonality &
uniqueness among business/functional requirements at lowest and highest
common denominators.
Example: Across all business units, setting up traditional sales
plans (at product group+sales org level) vs. customer operations plans (at
product group+sales org+customer level)
· Define technical solution options, risks, investment (effort,
resources) for identified scenarios
· Propose a high level implementation plan (sequence, efforts,
resources, skills) for identified scenarios
*
Secondary Focus (no more than 20%): BI Technical Architecture*
This person would set overall technical direction for the design and
implementation of the new functional areas into the existing landscape.
Work with user community to refine and lock down scope, testing strategies
and technical landscape.
Evaluate scoping request to determine technical feasibility in the current
landscape of Datastage, BW and Business Objects.
