*Software Consultant (Tibco)* Location: Rosemont, IL/Louisville/Lewisville, TX/Rochester, NY Rate: $ 60/hr Duration: 6-8 Months Aids in design of technology stack including all layers of hardware and software needed for IT solutions. Serves as architect to develop interfaces required for IT components required to service today's business needs, maintain an awareness level of new technologies and industry players and how changes will affect current GE needs and solutions. *Essential Functions/Responsibilities* 1. Responsible for bringing an understanding of the enterprise, business system and industry to the team(s) supporting or interfacing with an application. 2. Leads analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, implementation, maintenance of IT solutions focusing on architecture across product lines/platforms and provides expertise in the business process supported by the application. 3. Facilitates detailed application technical design and enforces adherence to GE design and security standards. 4. Creates design documents such as activity diagrams, data flow diagrams, user interface and interface mappings. 5. Leads build vs. buy activities, always looking to leverage existing functionality. *Basic Requirements:* 1. Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years experience in Java development. 2. Experience with middleware technologies such Tibco or MQ Series. 3. Broad Awareness of basic internet, intranet, and web technologies as established by internet/intranet/Web design, development and implementation experience. (GEN) 4. Demonstrated experience with: Java, Servlets, HTML, relational database management systems, SQL 5. Knowledge of UML and OO software design. *Eligibility Requirements:* 1. The Candidate willing to take a drug test. 2. The Candidate willing to submit to a background investigation including verification of employment, criminal history, and educational background. 3. The Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States. 4. The Candidate must be willing to work out of an office in *Rochester**, NY*. *Rosemont**, IL*. Or *Lewisville**, TX*. *Desired* Excellent leadership, design and architecture skills, as demonstrated by having lead, designed and implemented successful large-scale projects.
