*Help Desk Specialist*
*Duration:*  6 to 9 months
*Location:*  Washington DC
*Rate:*  $ 45 on c2c/1099


*Locals preferred.*

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

*       Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone,
electronically
*       Provide level two support to help desk technicians
*       Log all help desk interactions, and prepare activity reports
*       Provide assistance in areas of project management and running and
managing large projects.
*       Manage operations, projects and administer help desk software
*       Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
*       Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
*       Manage Software Licenses, Installations, and Documentation
*       Provide Office 2007 Support and Training
*       Provide assistance in areas of project management and running and
managing large project
*       Determine team training needs and oversee team development plan
*       Manage accuracy and timeliness of resource time reporting

Experience

.       IT working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software,
hardware and other equipment
.       knowledge of relevant technical call tracking applications
.       knowledge and experience of customer service practices
.       Related IT experience and training

Key Competencies

*       Must have exposure with running projects, or involvement within a
large scale project -Demonstrated exposure with running projects, or
involvement within a large scale project or project management experience
*       Oral and written communication skills
*       Customer service orientation
*       Excellent Work Ethic (punctual, self-motivated, team player.)
*       Problem analysis/Solving/Adaptability
*       Planning, organizing and attention to detail
