(i.e., transparent gateways, heterogeneous srvs) Create and maintain
Application Recovery Manual (ARM) Configure application backups (logical)
Restore application data (i.e., refresh DB using either a logical or
physical backup) Setup Application alerting of alarms for on call support
Monitor DBMS failover environments as necessary Provide DBMS-related
assistance to application team in degraded/outage situations Interface with
DBMS vendor for technical support for DBMS Client software and SQL issues,
log and track trouble tickets Troubleshoot client-DBMS connectivity issues
Support tools/software that clients use to access database Perform Database
tuning and performance monitoring Perform Application tuning and performance
monitoring (e,g, SQL and code tuning) Perform table and index reorganization
as required Disk space acquisition Monitor replication of DBMS data
replication components Setup and configure Application object replication
Assist Application in configuration of snapshot or event monitors Manage
database replication conflict resolution Design application schema and DDL
Create application objects in DBMS Create schema/application owner Grant
access to application objects (stored procedures, triggers, functions, etc.)
Manage data content in application objects, includes archive and purge tasks
Create scripts and utilities to manage and monitor application objects
Notify ODBA when adding new objects Manage application batch processes,
including logical backup and restores Inform DBA support groups when
excessive application activity is planned Create and maintain materialized
views Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain
application users and roles) RMAN, OEM, SHELL SCRIPT, PLSQL, LOGIGCAL AND
PHYSICAL DATAGUARD, GRID CONTROL,SUPPORT ORACLE DATABASE (9i , 10G, 11G),
SYBASE DATABASE, S/W INSTALLATION, MONITORING DATABASES, PERFORMANCE TUNING,
TROUBLESHOOTING DB ISSUES, CAPACITY PLANNING,DESIGN FOR COMPLEX PROJECTS,
DOCUMENTATION, PROVIDE ONCALL SUPPORT (ROTATION BASIS), WORK WITH VARIOUS
TEAMS AND VENDOR SUPPORT TO TROUBLESHOOT PRODUCTION ISSUE IN TIMELY MANNER
