Job Title: VBA and Dot Net Web Developer/Application Support Duration : Long term Location: Tampa, FL/Washington DC
Job Description: Relevant Experience (Yrs) 3-5years Technical/Functional Skills: • Technically knowledgeable in VBA with Excel and MS Access, .Net Technologies Framework development, ASP.Net, Win Forms, SQL Server 2005/2008 • Exposure to SDLC and application support process • Experience in application support for applications based on VBA & .Net technologies under production environment is a big plus • Experience in .Net Framework 1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 and ASP.Net 2.0, 3.5 • Knowledge of Source Control tools such as TFS (Team Foundation Sever), VSS (Visual Source Safe) and Perforce in .Net environment • An understanding of ASP.Net Web Services & WCF • Minimum 2 years of programming experience in VBA including building Macros in Excel, OLE automation and MS Excess application development • Minimum 2 years of programming experience in web application development\support in ASP.NET using C# • Minimum 1 year experience with SQL Server including design and implementation of tables, triggers and stored procedures • Exposure to AJAX and JavaScript is a plus • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Access 2007 Ribbon is a plus • Exposure to well known software design patterns • Expert knowledge of maintaining and debugging live software systems. • A thorough knowledge and good experience in Windows programming • Knowledge of HTML, XML, WSDL and SOAP web technologies Roles & Responsibilities: • Understand architecture & functionality of existing application • Analyze requirements for new products/product enhancements • Ability to solve problems quickly • Ability to identify tasks that require automation and automate them • Design, develop and maintain high quality software applications using latest Microsoft technologies • Thorough unit testing with appropriate documentation including changes and new features • Writing, monitoring and revising all installation, configuration and support documentation and ensuring that they are up to date at all times • Documenting all changes • Provide assistance and/or mentor other team member on design and development issues including sharing knowledge and expertise with others • Ability to work both independently and in a team • Testing and bug tracking experience Generic Team Skills: • Good interpersonal and communication skills • Demonstrated analysis and creative problem solving skills • Good learning skill • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff Education: • BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field • B.E, B.Sc, Diploma, M.E./M.Tech., M.Sc., B.E / B.Tech, M.C.A ( regular), BCA, MSc.
