Looking for an experienced OO developer with mainframe experience. This position will work closely with customers, business and technical analysts, and team members to develop support the maintenance and enhancement of the legacy mainframe and client server system and migration of the existing application to new .NET applications. Knowledge of COBOL/CICS/DB2 is preferred, and experience with MQ, FTP, command scripting are pluses. Insurance industry IT experience is preferred. Qualifications: 5+ years experience in developing, maintaining and supporting a large-scale client server application and OO systems Experience or knowledge of mainframe systems using COBOL, MVS JCL, CICS, DB2 Experience in application development using an IDE tool Experience with XML/XSLT in web service development WCF and MVC Frameworks Ability to communicate complex technical issues in writing and verbally to a diverse audience Ability to work well with end users of varying skill levels Ability to multi-task and prioritize to balance workloads in a dynamic environment Desire and aptitude to cross over into support of other technical functions within the division.
