*1 BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: *
1.1 Acronyms: The following acronyms are used in this document.
Acronym Stands for:
OWCS Oracle WebCenter Suite
ADF Application Development Framework (Oracle)
1.2 Background: Client is in the early stages of moving to the next
generation of enterprise architecture. This includes Enterprise Portal,
ESB, SOA and various multi-tier distributed technologies.
1.3 Objectives: The purpose of this effort is to engage a qualified
specialist in the realm of Oracle WebCenter Suite products, to help us
develop the Portal framework to serve as the foundation for future portal
projects and also to develop business applications
*2 SCOPE AND TASKS: *
2.1 General: The contractor shall work jointly with the TG Enterprise
Architecture, Solution Architecture, Enterprise Project Management Office,
Technology Services and Product Management groups. The contactor will be
responsible for developing the services layer of the Portal. Specific items
we would expect to be addressed are detailed below.
*2.2Contractor Responsibilities:*
Develop EJB services using Weblogic, JPA and Spring.
Build composite portal applications with multiple ear files, for managing
portal application lifecycle with multiple TG product lifecycles.
*3 EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: *
The contractor must have a minimum of 4 years technical experience in
developing and/or maintaining complex business systems in a large
distributed environment. They shall be familiar and skilled with building
scalable multi-tier web applications using these Skills:
*Required: *
Java EE/Java
Component development using EJB 3.0
ORM technologies and frameworks (JPA, Oracle TopLink)
other open-source Java frameworks (Spring , JUnit, log4J, etc.)
JDeveloper
SQL
Preferred:
Web technologies and frameworks (JSF, JSP/Servle
Taskflow development - ADF, ADF BC, Task Flows using Oracle
WebCenter Suite (OWCS)
JavaScript/HTML,
Subversion and Maven.
The contractor should have experience with IBM DB2/UDB IBM DB2 and stored
procedures.
Experience with performance tuning and UML is a plus.
Experience with student loan programs and software or the development and
implementation of customer facing Financial Services software is a definite
plus.
The contractor must have strong oral and written communication skills and an
ability to communicate effectively with other team members, business
partners, and project managers.
