The position is working on a legency decommission project. Extracting, loading, transforming, and validating data/schema between enterprise database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, and the file system(s) using BI SSIS. Creating new LAD application databases for data migration, writing SQL t-sql scripts, jobs, SPs and database web base solutions to further manage and enhance the decommissioning of Legacy Archive Databases applications. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Functional Expertise: -- Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 and 2008 R2 platforms -- Microsoft Windows and SQL Server clustering -- Microsoft SQL Server and Windows account management -- Microsoft group permissions and Active Directory Architecture -- Performance monitoring techniques on SQL server software and hardware -- Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g knowledge a plus. -- Able to work remotely on database software issues with a global team Leadership/Change: -- May take on several components of a project or a complex component of a project. -- Works under broad supervision -- Applies company policies and procedures to resolve issues. -- Follows company policies to implement changes. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: -- Experience with Following SQL server technology -- SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 & 2008R2 -- SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) -- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) -- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) -- SQL Server compression, mirroring and replications -- Experience with Active Directory tools and utilities. -- Familiarity with network and san technologies -- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and SQL server clustering -- Familiarity with different database technology such as Oracle 8i, 9i and 10g or MySQL -- Good English reading, writing and verbal communication skills -- Able to work in a round-the-clock, global operation 7 days x 24 hours -- Strict adherence to company standards and procedures. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: -- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent -- MS SQL certification -- Minimum of 4-6 years of SQL experience in IT DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: -- Background and understanding of IT controls and compliance. -- Experience with regulatory environments including Sarbanes-Oxley, Section 404 and governance frameworks including COSO, ITIL, COBIT and ISO17799. -- Solid PC skills and proficiency in office productivity software (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, etc.) -- Ability to provide off hours global support. -- Excellent trouble shooting skills privileged, confidential, or proprietary information that is exempt from disclosure under law.
