Location: *Augusta, ME* Duration: *6+ months* *Must haves:* Atleast 5 yrs of UNIX Must have strong experience in any one of the following: Perl, Python, C or advanced Shell Experience with network trouble shooting skills and understanding of the OSI model, IP and general security. Experience with virtual infrastructure, database and software platforms. · System implementation, maintenance, migration planning, upgrading and management planning for all Linux based systems including virtual infrastructure. · Performance trending and standards analysis of existing systems with recommendation for improvement for current processes. · Root-cause analysis for Linux software, operating systems and hardware issues. · Mentor and Support department team members. · Converge for day-to-day Linux Administration and operational duties. · Work with system administrators and Architects to accomplish objectives. · Participates in on-call pager rotation for 24-7 response to after-hour issues. · Create, maintain, improve, and support scripts and programs like bash, perl, and c. · Work with developers to stream-line software deploy and operations. · Design and develop automation tools for software deployments and upgrades. · Configure and manage performance monitoring tools and notification services.
