DESCRIPTION:
Extraction, Transformation, and Load (ETL) deliverables and related
technical components driven by business requirements.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS: development
Must have developed on multiple platforms (MS Access, SQL, Oracle, MUMPS)
Experience with a variety of ETL tools (Informatica, SSIS, SQL DTS,
Data Stage or hand coded such as VB or C++)
5+ years of demonstrated experience with ETL tools (i.e. Informatica
Powercenter, IBM DataStage, Microsoft SSIS, Business Objects Data
Integrator, etc)
Excellent applied knowledge of relational database management systems
Excellent applied knowledge of data warehousing including data
acquisition, transformation, cleansing, conforming, loading, and
integration
Experience developing SQL programs, stored procedures, functions,
views, triggers, and indexes
Strong knowledge of multi-dimensional data structures OLAP, MOLAP,
HOLAP and data tools
Experience with batch, database, real-time, flat-file, very large and
XML data load methodologies
Experience with service oriented architecture (SOA), and Web Services
including ESB
Excellent knowledge in multiple database concepts (i.e. RDBMS, OODB,
ODS, DW, OLAP)
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experienced in agile development methodologies including SCRUM or RUP
Experience with healthcare, insurance, or financial industries
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop ETL solutions to acquire data from heterogeneous systems
including flat files, XML, SQL databases, ODBC compliant data sources
and deliver conformed data into DW structures
Collaborate with the operations team to escalate data integrity
issues, and provide audit ability
Responsible for data extraction, transformation, cleansing and
loading for the data warehouse
Ensure performance (replication, tuning, configuration, and
troubleshooting),
Document technical standards
Responsible for on time delivery to the customer the data products
Work closely with Data Architecture to ensure adherence to the data
blueprint and data roadmap
Design the appropriate security and data access for multiple real-time
and batch applications
