Title: *EDI Technical Support Specialist *Location: *Columbus, GA *Duration: *12+ Months *Rate: DOE * *Direct Client req * *No of Positions: 2 * *Job Description:* Participates as a team member in the creation, testing and implementation of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) files to support the post enrollment processing in a 3rd Party Enrollment software system. *Principal Duties & Responsibilities:* • Performs moderately complex maintenance and support on a variety of carrier specific EDI formats; works on cases as needed, and provides input during case approval and requirements phase relating to EDI • Applies Java scripting to standard carrier files inside the 3rd Party Enrollment System to create the required file design • Escalates problems appropriately; monitors and maintains ownership of issues, ensuring problem resolution • Maintains problem-tracking logs; identifies and communicates the existence of patterns in tracking logs as appropriate • Maintains service-level agreement targets and ensures that requirements are met or exceeded; ensures that customers follow appropriate service procedures, and that all escalated issues are handled as top priority • Interacts with customers (external and internal) in a courteous and professional manner, promoting good customer relations • Maintains the IT severity notification list and notifies proper support staff of any issues • Works with vendor technical support personnel to retrieve solutions for customer • Performs other related duties as required *Education & Experience:* • Associate’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field and two years of work-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Working knowledge of basic to semi complex hardware and software products, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills • Knowledge of the latest technologies obtained by attending training and conferences *Technical Skills:* • Windows XP: Intermediate • Windows 2000: Intermediate • EDI file creation experience using Excel and/or the HIPAA XML file specification • Windows 7: Intermediate • Java Scripting: Intermediate to Advanced • Troubleshooting: Intermediate • Help Desk Professional: Intermediate • Knowledge of Aflac Products: Basic • New Business Processes: Basic • Database design: Intermediate • Microsoft Office: Intermediate • PC Anywhere: Intermediate • Imaging Technology: Intermediate • Customer Services/Telephone/Grammar: Advanced • Knowledge of Aflac Systems: Basic • Microsoft Platforms: Intermediate • Intel-based PCs: Intermediate • Microsoft Office: Intermediate • Hardware & OS Management: Intermediate • MS Window Technologies: Intermediate • Networking Technologies: Basic • Software Evaluation: Intermediate • Troubleshooting: Intermediate Thanks *Krishna PV* ASAP Staffing, LLC 3885 Holcomb Bridge Road Norcross, GA 30092 Phone: 770-783-6443 x 201 Fax: 770-234-6249 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Hot List" group.
