*Location: Dearborn, MI* *Duration: 6+months* *Must interview in-person.. * *Locals to MI, IL, OH preferred..* *Description:* * * Daily administration support of various SQL server global type applications and server environments. Daily responsibilities include verification and cleanup of any backup issues for supported servers, server builds, migration of databases, etc.. Additional support items include rotational weekly on-call support. DBA will also work on Request Center and Service Desk tickets. Some tickets may be escalated and quick turnaround is expected from the DBA. .Provide DBA support for SQL Server 2000 through 2008 including features associated with each version. .Performance tuning and engaging with application teams to isolate performance issues. .Writing, testing and maintaining T-SQL and stored procedures as they relate to DBA support. .Windows administrative level skills and experience working in 64 bit environments. .Writing, testing and maintaining Windows scripts. .Ensures IT Policy and SQL Server security are enforced. .Database migrations from older versions to current. .Supporting SQL Server mirrored, clustered and replication environments. .Supports backup and recovery options in SQL Server and DR requirements. .Knowledge and usage of TDP and TSM. .Writing, testing and maintaining SSIS packages. .Nice to have . knowledge of and usage of SSAS, SSRS and Power Shell. .Willing to work off shifts for production support issues.
