** *Must interview in-person..* * * *Overview:* * * Responsible for the administration of operating systems environment and storage management processes, and second level support. Does not supervise other employees. Works under the direction of an experienced System Engineer. - Works with vendor technical support as needed. - Performs basic problem determination with assistance for complex problems. - Performs system recovery of assigned products. - Performs on-call support for assigned products with occasional assistance. - Assists with the installation, maintenance, customization and testing of large enterprise computer systems, subsystems and distributed systems - Applying patching, investigating basic problems identification and documenting resolution and / or work-around fixes. - Second level support for enterprise servers. *Position Requirements:* *Education and / or Experience:* - Linux engineering experience - installation of OS, patching, application installation and troubleshooting (Red Hat Enterprise or Oracle Linux preferred) - Linux virtualization experience (Oracle Virtual Machine (OVM) virtualization experience preferred) - Apache/Tomcat engineering experience (setting up Web sites, installing certificates, and troubleshooting) - Oracle database and middleware support (performance tuning, and troubleshooting); and SAN and boot from SAN experience - Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or technical school; equivalent combination of education and experience. - 1 – 3 years experience in computer operations, second level support or application development ** *Skills and Competencies:* * * - Ability to take direction and work well in a fast-paced team environment. - Aptitude for problem solving and documentation skills. - Basic knowledge of operating systems, and network protocols. - Exposure to good relationship management - Developing close working relationship with OS platform team and peers in other areas of IT. - Good analytical and Organizational skills. - Familiar with hardware configuration concepts. - Familiar monitors and techniques. - Functional in at least one Systems programming language. * * -- *Thanks & Regards,* * * *Krish* Compusoft Integrated Solutions Inc.
