Description: Global IT Security Department.

Responsibilities:
• Provide hotline support through the IT Security Hotline - a customer
facing phone line for security issues
• Interpreting customer requests for all IT Security Products and Services
(e.g. Firewalls, Kerberos, Top Secret, Security Alerts, Investigations,
etc.) and direct calls to the appropriate area of the IT Security Team
• Day-to-day monitoring of IT Security's Perimeter Infrastructure
technologies.
(Firewalls: PIX, Netscreen, Checkpoint, IPFilter. Authentication Servers:
Radius, SecurID, Kerberos KDCs.  Mail Bastions:Postfix, BrightMail,
TrendMicro,etc).
• Initial troubleshooting of possible network connectivity problems
• Outage Management: investigation, communication, triage and escalation
• Pre-staging or processing simple MACs across the infrastructure
• Supplement existing, or develop documentation as the environment is
modified
• Creation/supplementation of Operational Runbooks

Required Skills
• Possess proven track record of success in Operations Center
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent customer facing skills
• Knowledge of networking (e.g. OSI layers + functions + devices)
• In depth understanding of IP protocols including IP, TCP, UDP, FTP, DNS,
ARP
• Unix Systems administration experience.
• Hands on experience in Firewall security devices (PIX,  Netscreen)
• Experience in writing Cisco ACLs
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco PIX firewalls
• Active interest in IT Security.
• Ability to deliver detailed and timely communications to internal and
external parties during an outage
• Knowledge of Information Security
• The position requires customer support experience and interacting with
service members of the networking, e-business, UNIX, and PC groups in four
major metropolitan regions across the globe.
• Experience in customer support and experience in interacting with
business units
• The candidate must be a self-starter but must recognize the importance
and value of working as a member of an operations support team

Desired Skills
• Perl and UNIX shell programming experience.
• Knowledge of Solaris, Kerberos, SOCKS, VPN, BIND

Experience
• Two years of experience in firewall management, preferably in the
Financial Services sector.
