Position : Client Server Programmer Location: Albany, NY Rate Range : Open Duration : 12 months Interview Mode : Phone hire and in-person Opportunity for a .Net Developer on a long term engagement . The Developer will be perform activities related to writing the instruction code using WCF, WPF and .Net, testing modules and components, and providing guidance on best practices and standards for the members of the development team. S/he will participate in the integration of components and linking the new architecture to the existing platform to ensure functionality is correctly developed. MANDATORY SKILL/EXPERIENCE: (candidates that do not meet all of the following skills will not be considered) 1.Minimum of an Associate’s degree 2.Must have a minimum of two years application development experience using the following concepts and technologies: Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Development N-tiered client/server development 3.Must have a minimum of two years experience performing development work in one or more of the following specialty areas: Visual Basic 6.0 Visual Studio .Net (or latest version) 4. At least 3 years experience developing applications using VB.NET and WPF. 5. At least 3 years experience developing applications using VB.NET and WCF. 6. At least 3 years experience developing applications using the MVC, MVVM, or similar patterns. 7. At least 3 years experience using SQL, PL/SQL writing stored procedures, functions, packages preferable in Oracle 10g or higher. 8. At least 2 years experience writing unit tests. 9. At least 2 years experience regression and integration testing. 10. At least 2 years experience in performing knowledge transfer to client staff of programming techniques supporting the development of n-tiered client-server applications. (Provide concrete work experience not theory).
