LOCATION: JERSEY CITY,NJ DURATION: 6 + MONTHS Senior .NET Application Dev Job Summary Consulting opportunity for a talented, experienced and passionate Senior .NET Application Developer. The candidate will be required work closely with other developers, analysts and project managers to design, build and test business solutions. Required Skills: Candidates must possess strong organizational, communication, and relationship skills. He/She must be creative, self-sufficient and resourceful. · The candidate must be experienced in C# web-based application developer utilizing Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010 in .NET 4.0 and/or 3.5. The candidate must have outstanding abilities in building WEB 2.0 user interfaces. Strong experience in CSS, Javascript, DHTML, jQuery, Ajax and ASP.NET are a MUST. · He/she must be an expert in working with standard .NET web controls. The candidate must have experience in database modeling and understanding of database concepts and how they relate to transactional and reporting systems. Experience in Object Oriented programming is another must. · The candidate must be able to understand and implement design patterns. A big plus would be if the candidate had an exposure to SQL Server, Oracle and DB2/UDB. · Another plus is experience in deploying asp.net web applications and knowledge of IIS architecture. Technical skills and abilities: " Five years minimum of related IT experience." Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must." Hands on experience with the following ASP.NET 3.5-4.0, C#, JavaScript, AJAX, DHTML, jQuery, LINQ, XML/SOAP, ADO.NET and WebForms, Standard .NET Web Controls, User Controls, Distributed System Development · ." Working knowledge of design patterns in distributed systems development." Familiar with data modeling, design and application development. " Knowledge and understanding of relational databases. " Knowledge of SQL programming and Store Procedures." Knowledge of IIS 6 and 7 server architecture, understanding of SSL is a plus." Understanding of relational databases and modeling techniques (ER, Dimensional). · " Strong analytical, problem solving, and collaborative skills." Demonstrated quick learner with minimal supervision." Demonstrated multi-tasking ability." Solid understanding of testing methods - Detail unit testing and integration testing." Proficiency with Photoshop and/or Graphics software is a big plus." Working knowledge of life insurance business, terms, and processes a plus." Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred. Job Responsibilities:" Design and Development of high performance transactional systems in .NET." Contribute to design and lead implementation of high-impact user interfaces." Contribute to the development of technical design specifications." Assist in maintaining and enhancing existing web application functionality." Serve as a technical expert on .Net technology." Must be comfortable interacting with Senior Management, end-users and operations personnel." Familiarity with software development life cycle methodology including change management processes. and ensuring changes are properly tested and migrated to production." Create documentation and procedures with system deliverables, application design, and changes. planned for production environment." Create visio process flows and domain object models."
