Performance Test Analyst (Capacity planner) This is a long term contract job for 12 to 18 months located in Orlando, FL US citizenship or green card is required Description/Comment: Designs, builds, and executes capacity tests, tools and frameworks. Under direct supervision, detects, diagnoses, and reports application performance requirements to ensure that systems can meet the needs of the business. Works with Architecture, Design, and Development teams to gather application performance and scalability requirements. Must be able to understand system architecture and design and implement appropriate tests, monitors, and processes for measuring and analyzing performance. Works with architecture and environment teams to identify and correct performance bottlenecks. Must be an advocate for getting high performance designs implemented into WDPR applications. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Applied Mathematics or equivalent. Additional Job Details: This position is for a capacity analyst, which is in some ways similar to a performance analyst, but different in others. Within our clients organization, performance testing is only done during new code introductions and focuses on optimizing the performance of the code. However, capacity testing, modeling, and planning will be done on new projects as well as on existing systems that have not been previously modeled, and focuses on effective resource usage. The role will be responsible for building a capacity model for all tier 1 applications that relates demand, in business terms, to resource utilization, with respect to infrastructure. Math skills, Excel proficiency, an understanding of computer/server hardware, and being comfortable in a dynamic team are all very important. We have the modeling and reporting tools and training will be available for tool specific usage.
