Extensive experience designing and/or developing solutions for a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Responsibilities: 1. Provide a defining, senior level contribution to development team responsible for the implementation of critical SOA web-based applications using the .Net Framework and SQL Server technologies 2. Collaborate with business stakeholders and team members to define & analyze requirements 3. Analyze, design, and develop code for all application tiers, as needed 4. Developing enterprise wide reusable components for other application development teams 5. Prepare technical designs, perform code reviews, debugging and testing 6. Define integration approaches to extend existing systems to work with an ESB 7. Work in a collaborative development environment, providing assistance & technical guidance to fellow team members 8. Accountability for the technical components of the design and successful operation of the ESB solution within DOE 9. Document standards and procedures for the definition of reference architectures 10. Provide inputs in architecting, designing, and implementing a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) for the application development group 11. Responsible for the delivery of architecture artifacts that will demonstrate the projects adherence to strategy, design patterns, and best practices 12. Provide detailed guidance and direction for design and implementation of development frameworks and design patterns for consumption across multiple development teams 13. Create, communicate and improve the governing principles, standards and models Qualification Requirements: 1. Bachelors degree with 10+ years of applicable work experience with at least 5+ years of experience as an Architect, Sr. Developer or Technical Team Lead with the Microsoft .NET Architecture framework, including ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET 2. 5+ years of experience with Object Oriented Design and Analysis, application design patterns 3. 3+ years of experience with web services, WSDL, Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), XML, XSD, AJAX 4. Extensive experience designing and/or developing solutions for a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) 5. Extensive experience with design patterns, system architectural concepts and frameworks 6. 5+ years of experience with MS SQL server, leveraging SQL 2005 features in developing optimized Database code 7. Experience with SSIS packages 8. Experience with Enterprise Service Bus 9. Experience with .NET 3.0+ technologies including WCF, WPF, and WF, SharePoint 2007 development and SQL Server 2005/SSIS is a strong plus 10. Experience leveraging open source development tools (such as Subversion, NUnit, CruiseControl.Net, NCover, MSBuild, NAnt, FxCop) a plus 11. Technical expertise in high performance website systems, web services, in a .Net/IIS environment, and performance tuning/scaling of such systems 12. Experience with MSMQ is a plus 13. Strong verbal and written communication skills, for both technical and business audiences 14. Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail 15.
