Job Description
The Application Developer is responsible for the analysis, design,
construction, testing, and implementation of business and technical
information technology solutions through application of appropriate software
development life cycle methodology. The skills progression identifies
responsibilities ranging from basic programming assignments to being able to
function in a single discipline to advanced specialty disciplines such as
assembly/integration, cross-discipline functions, data engineering, industry
expertise, knowledge engineering, legacy evolution, or system infrastructure
. Applies specialized knowledge in a single discipline such as
assembly/integration, cross-discipline functions, knowledge engineering,
industry expertise, or legacy evolution. . Interacts with the customer to
gain an understanding of the business environment and technical context. .

Experience
3 to 5 Years Experience in application design, development, and
implementation using Object Oriented Methodology - Proficient in web
application development utilizing .NET technology and web services in
VB.net, VB 6.0, C++, Java, JavaScript, HTML, XML - Work in web development
using Agile/SCRUM approach - Good knowledge in Oracle Database - Good
knowledge of design patterns - Good Knowledge of unit testing methodologies
and frameworks - Proficient in usability of web design - Ability to
communicate in a clear and concise manner both orally or written at various
audience levels. - Experience in estimation using different techniques -
Able to anticipate issues, provide and recommend solutions - Good problem
solving skills. - Easily adoptable to Chevron culture.
Certification
Microsoft Certified Solution Developer
Additional Comments
The candidate needs to be co-located with the project team in San Ramon and
is expected to work closely with the project manager, business analyst, and
development lead. It's highly desired for the lead role to have usability
and data modeling background. Has previous experience on Chevron Projects
would be a plus.
