Required Experience
. 5+ years Microsoft SQL Server experience with strong
understanding of database tools, technology, and best practices
. Understanding of, and experience with, SQL Server 2005, 2008
and 2000, managing multiple instances in standalone, shared and clustered
environment
. Experience with production issues, database migration,
database upgrades, indexing, backups, profiler, maintenance plans and
clustering
. Knowledge of replication and log shipping, patch
implementation, database mail system, common issue and resolution
. Good understanding of upgrade from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005 to SQL
2008, database security, DTS packages, SSIS packages, SQL Jobs, logins and
users
. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication
skills
. Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure
environment
. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative
environment
. Flexibility to work in shifts 24x7 including weekends
Required Skills
. SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2000
. Database Administration and Database Management
. Production Support and troubleshooting
. Migration and patch implementation
. SQL Server Clustering, new install and upgrades
. SQL Server Replication and new installs
