*Position: **Sharepoint SME Duration: Long Term Location: Baltimore, MD * Description of Work: • Create a unified, supportable, and extensible SharePoint content framework • Inherit best practices from OCOMM (Internet & Intranet) and SharePoint initiatives • Drive content from data • Centralize and reuse data, applications/solutions • Leverage existing enterprise portal features and get full operational support • Develop a life cycle for enterprise features/solutions (WDPE / SharePoint) • Serve DCS as the SharePoint content framework architects and technical governing body • Integrate with existing and future enterprise content sources • Establish mission and functions of SharePoint content governing bodies. Basic Qualifications: • Ability to analyze complex requirements and recommend development or acquisition strategies • Ability to assist in development of strategic plans and concepts • Provide guidance and act in a consulting and/or advisory capacity in the implementation of highly specialized, leading edge information technologies, methodologies, and software tools • Experience in high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, training, and implementation • Demonstrated ability to lead Information Technology transformation efforts related to emerging technologies or new application of existing solution • Expert knowledge of SharePoint functionality • Working knowledge of SharePoint Architecture • SharePoint Designer 2010 proficiency • Visual Studio proficiency in supporting SharePoint solutions • Process improvement/automation experience • Experience with complete application development life-cycle including requirements gathering, analysis and design, coding, testing and deployment • Must be outgoing and comfortable with working with a large group of customer contacts. • Must be a self-starter and take responsibility for completing assignments on time. • Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Project, MS Power Point, and MS Visio • Writing system/user requirements skills. • Strong analytical skills. • Strong oral, written, and listening skills. • Technical documentation writing skills. • Good negotiation skills. • Project management skills. • Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. • Knowledge of Rapid Application Development (RAD)/Joint Application Development (JAD) methodologies. • Knowledge of mainframe and Web technologies are expected.
