We accept Master Graduates in Computer Science / IT with a minimum of 2-3
years exp in any IT domain.
The BI DW Data Architect will understand business requirements and
translate the requirements into a data warehouse ETL staging tables and
data mart solution to support reporting and analytics.
The Data Architect will:
- Use data modeling to design data solutions.
- Use OWB (oracle warehouse builder) to design ETL solutions.
- Understand business processes and use that knowledge to
architect good warehouse solutions.
- Work with project managers, data team, reports/GUI and
production support to assist in design / approve project requirements and
change tickets.
- Review developer code to ensure good implementation.
The data warehouse Data Architect will use some or all of the following
skills and tools:
- Oracle warehouse builder.
- ERWIN Data Modeling
- UNIX scripting.
- Communication skills (written and verbal).
- New data warehouse and ETL technologies.
Ultimately the BI Data Architect must have business and IT skill that can
be used to deliver BI solutions. The BI Data Architect must be
professional, organized and deliver on commitments.
