Java/J2ee (Application Development / Support experience) Foster City, CA 6 Months $55/hr Job description: As an Application Support Analyst, candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and support of global distributed applications, including tasks related to identifying and troubleshooting application issues and issues resolution or escalation. His responsibilities will include troubleshooting issues, root cause analysis, deployment planning and execution Specifically this engineer is expected to assist with development and support of production support tools. He will be expected to provide high quality technology solutions that address the team's needs by developing and supporting components within the production support dashboard applications. This is highly demanding role, which requires constant interaction with DBAs, Networking, System Administrators and development teams. Role & Responsibilities: ?Provide support for level 1 and 2 production issues troubleshoot and resolve issues when they occur. ?Provide monitoring and support of the environment during production deployment events. ?Execute and analyze daily and weekly production activity reports. ?Assist with production support tool development activities. Skills: ? 5+ Years of Application Development/Support experience with Strong knowledge of Java J2EE Technologies including Spring, JMS, UNIX/Linux. ? Support Experience - should have worked on monitoring of applications and be familiar with tools for looking at java heaps, CPU / RAM utilization, network bandwidth monitoring, shell scripting, Log 4J, etc. Provide L1/L2 support within the agreed Production SLA. ? Must be hands on and familiarity with IBM Websphere application deployment and support with basic knowledge on MQ. ?Proficiency in DB2 RDBMS. ?Strong Problem solving skill - Investigate, assess and resolve issues or defects in the application. ?Collaborate with the other IT delivery teams, Business and Operations on a day to day basis and ensure relations with selected vendors for application support/enhancement. ? Coordinate deployment of application changes to production environment invoking change & release management processes. ?
