*Location*: Chicago IL

*Position Name:* Data Analyst

*Contract to Hire*: Yes US or GC

*Duration- 4+ months*



*Job Requirement: *

1) Bachelor Degree in Business, Statistics, or Economics OR 4 years’
experience performing consultative analytics;

2) Defining initiative and analytic objectives;

3) Coordinating team members and timelines/deliverables and communicating
status during projects;

4) Performing or consulting on advanced business analysis research, design,
modeling and control charting, trending;

5) Presentation of results at to business unit leaders, executive steering
committees, as well as internal teams and external clients;

6) The position requires an advanced knowledge of business operations
hypothesis testing, categorical data analysis and regression-based modeling
techniques (both linear and logistic);

7) 4 years’ experience coordinating decision-making activities or projects.

8) Experience with identifying problems and providing solutions through
operational process improvement efforts;

9) Experience identifying and evaluating key metrics;

10) Experience in coaching and mentoring staff at all levels;

11) Verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills Required: 1) Master’s Degree in Business, Statistics, or
Economics;

2) PC proficiency to include SAS, Excel, PowerPoint and/or other
Statistical Software;

3) Ability to travel including overnight stays.

4) Experience with Internal Planning and Reporting operations; Position
Description: Within Strategic Support and Optimization this position is
responsible for leading key business initiatives for Internal Operations by
defining the analytic strategy, leveraging a group of cross functional
representatives or working independently and assuming the analytic subject
matter expert (SME) role utilizing an advanced statistical skill set and
SAS / SQL programming along with analytical business experience. Overseeing
development, coaching, and training needs of departmental staff;
supervising staff as requested or assisting supervisors with team
operations; participating in multiple operational performance improvement,
working as mentor and coach with department and divisional management; and
training on department protocol and procedures.
