Responsibilities:
· Able to communicate with customers and gather business
requirements
· Able to synthesize data movement solutions based on available
customer technologies
· Able to operate in an on-site, offshore model
· Able to direct the work of 6-7 junior consultants on an engagement
(including offshore coordination)
· Ability to manage small- to medium-sized projects, plan work,
assign, track and monitor, report
· Ability to create and deliver design specifications based on user
communicated needs (i.e. create HLD and LLD)
Qualifications:
· Expertise in End-to-End testing in a Data Warehousing environment
· Strong Data Warehousing knowledge is required and should have a
clear understanding of end-to-end data flow in a typical Data Warehouse
· Should have lead a team at Offshore and own the deliverables from
Onsite
· Should gather requirements and give it to Offshore and get the
work completed at Offshore
· Should have strong SQL knowledge
· Should have expertise in ETL Development specifically in
Informatica tool
· Good knowledge in working with Informatica Power Center 9.x/8.x
(Designer, Repository manager, Repository Server Administrator console,
Server Manager, Work flow manager, Workflow monitor).
· Experienced in developing, designing and reviewing Informatica
work products like Mappings, Mapplets, Reusable transformations,
Sessions, Workflows, Worklets, Schedulers and experienced in using
Mapping parameters, Mapping variables, Session parameter files
· Extensively worked on Informatica Power Center Transformations
such as Source Qualifier, Lookup, Filter, Expression, Router, Joiner,
Update Strategy, Rank, Aggregator, Stored Procedure, Sorter, Sequence
Generator, Normalizer, Union, and XML Source Qualifier
· Should design complex Mappings and expertise in Performance Tuning
in Informatica.
· Should have a good understanding on the Informatica PDO (Push Down
Optimization) concepts and its working methodology
· Strong UNIX shell scripting is mandatory and should develop
scripts to call Teradata tools / utilities as per the business requirements
· Should have a good knowledge on Teradata(DB) Architecture
· Should have good knowledge on Teradata Functions / Parallelism,
Explain Plan analysis and Performance tuning
· Should have good experience in Teradata (DB) and have worked
extensively in BTEQ, Teradata SQL Assistant, Multiload, Fast load, TPT
(Teradata Parallel Transporter) and Fastexport utilities. CLDM knowledge is
a plus.
· Should have written complex queries in Teradata and also have
strong analytical skills to analyze the business requirements
· Should have good experience in UNIX Shell Scripting and should
have developed Teradata BTEQ scripts from UNIX
· Should have the ability to understand the business requirement and
develop the mappings in Informatica using UNIX and Teradata scripts
· MicroStrategy reporting knowledge is a plus.
