The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for servicing 400 servers total (locally, nationally and internationally) and is therefore on call frequently. Senior Systems Engineer faces many challenges including short time tables, firefighting and a lot of problem solving. Day to day duties will include troubleshooting and repairing systems outages, requests from various groups for system builds and network security. Attain optimum usage of computing resources through an effective system software process that includes evaluation, installation, testing, implementation and maintenance. Installation and maintenance of complete database systems. Responsible for keeping critical computer systems online and usable. Meet future needs by configuring the hardware, software and network to accommodate additional users and new functionality. Interfaces with user community to ensure that all equipment is reliable and operating properly.
