Send me resumes at <[email protected]> CT *SQL Database Administrator* *Responsibilities:* · Plans and implements database patches and upgrades · Conducts database backup and recovery testing · Performs database monitoring and tuning · Monitor database activities to ensure backups complete, no unauthorized users have access, and no unscheduled database downtime · Lead change management principles to all database elements including the creation, alteration, deletion, and copying of schemas, databases, tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, triggers, and integrity constraints. Also assisting developers in building stored procedures, views and other objects in SQL Server · Handles internal support questions concerning existing and/or new functionality · Applies and test software updates and writes release notes and system documentation · Schedule, plan, and execute the installation and testing of new products and improvements to database systems, such as the installation of new databases and installation of proprietary software applications · Provide support in critical production support issue resolution · Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolves problems to ensure infrastructure and application stability · Support the administration of system security for all SQL Server databases including the creation and management of user profiles, passwords and database access rights · Work with developers to migrate objects through Development, Test and Production environments · Familiar with Cognos Administration or other Business Intelligence technology · Excellent analysis, troubleshooting and SQL Server technical skills, views, triggers, stored procedures. *Qualifications * · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience · Minimum 2+ years SQL Server database administration (2005/2008 and newer) experience · Knowledge of SQL Server database software and utilities · Knowledge of high level programming languages (SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL) · Must be available to provide support for off-hours production issues · Knowledge of Oracle, Cognos, Teradata a plus · Hands on experience supporting a large number of databases preferred · Familiarity with multi-tier application system architectures (.NET) · Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities · Solid organizational skills and focus on accuracy and attention to detail · Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment *Amit* * Sr. Recruitment Manager* *Zenith tech Solutions* * Desk: **518-621-004* <518-621-0048>*6* * Fax: **518-244-4977* <518-244-4977> * 3 park Hill* *Albany, NY 12204* *[email protected]* <[email protected]> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Hot List" group.
