The Business Objects Developer will work with cross functional Business and IT teams of business analysts, Programmers, and project managers during all SDLC phases and should be able to translate functional requirements into technical specifications. The Business Objects Developer will perform code walkthroughs and formal reviews and contribute and review the technical documents. *Key Responsibilities:* · Design, code, and test new BI applications including Business Objects Webi and Crystal reports, Universes, and Xcelsius dashboards · Troubleshoot existing BI applications as needed. · Bring new ideas and recommendations on BI products and best practices. · Participates in technical design, development and implementation of application systems. · Occasionally requires troubleshooting and correcting production issues in emergency type situations. · Participates in post-implementation reviews of both application development content and process to maximize and share learning. · Provide mentorship and train mid and junior level developers · Work on multiple projects with different deadlines · Review and evaluate existing systems for possible enhancement or upgrade. Routinely search for innovative ways to improve existing systems or procedures. · Establish check points at regular intervals to verify accuracy of the work in progress *Skills, Education & Certifications* *Required* · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/MIS, Engineering or a related field · 5-7 years Business Object experience · Extensively used PL/SQL in writing stored procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers. · Knowledge of Dimensional modeling, data migration, Data cleansing, Data profiling, Data mining, Data audits and web reporting features of Data Warehouse · Created and maintained complex universe supporting multiple levels of hierarchies for drill down and drill across reports. · Worked w/DBA to create aggregate tables/materialized views to improve performance of query by cutting down size of result set at data provider levels · Knowledge of MySQL, SQL server · Complex reports in Business Objects Webi Rich Client/Crystal Reports Enterprise w/Parameter/Formula Fields, Selection Formulas, Grouping/Sub reports · Tuned and Enhanced Universes with SQL Queries for the Report Performance. · Created dashboards with multiple hyperlinks to various reports using Open Document Syntax. · Expertise in dimensional data modeling, Star Schema Modeling, fact and dimensional table design, physical and logical data modeling. · Experience Building Dashboards for Visual Rep of Data using Crystal Xcelsius 2008 SP3/4.5 using Qaaws/Live Office/XML/Flash variables/SAP BW Net weaver · Developed flex queries using filters/navigational attributes in BEx Analyzer to facil. data analysis in drill down/summarized way to give detailed info *Nice to Have* · Created Web Intelligence Ad-hoc and canned reports. · Basic knowledge of Sharepoint development · Experience developing application using basic · Ability to learn new technology *Amit* * Sr. Recruitment Manager* *Zenith tech Solutions* * Desk: **518-621-004* <518-621-0048>*6* * Fax: **518-244-4977* <518-244-4977> * 3 park Hill* *Albany, NY 12204* *[email protected]* <[email protected]> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Hot List" group.
