Work experience (3+ years as an engineer in the IT industry)
* Any IT Certifications in the following areas is beneficial:
o Operating Systems (Linux, Solaris)
o Software Installation and or Administrative experience
o Desirable Networking experience (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc)
o Databases (My SQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL)
o Knowledge of ALU IMS products
o Should have a strong understanding of VoIP networks:
* Experience with Wireshark and packet capture tools
*Job Profile 2: *
Role Summary:
ü IMS/VoIP Configurable Parameter Customization (CPC), CPC creation and
CPC releases
o Documents myriad of IMS parameters for optimal performance
o Manages a change control process to ensure non-disruptive upgrades and
support day to day operations
o Provides Standard monthly updates
o Includes Additional ("Ad-hoc") updates as required
o Provides sites with optimal Release and Configuration Standards for
the customer IMS Program
o Experience in one or more of the ALU IMS products
ü The candidate should have extensive experience in software
upgrading/patching procedure for ATCA (Advanced Telecommunication Computing
Architecture) based telecom products.
ü Should have proven work knowledge in upgrading multiple sites preferably
remotely.
ü Should have expertise in creating Site readiness checklist I.e. Gather
site details and verify customer site is ready for the upgrade.
ofü Should be able to Coordinate review and approval documents with
customer and client as needed.
ü Should have good hands on to generate Acceptance test plans and execute
them as part of software upgrade procedure.
ü Should be able to independently handle and upgrade multiple sites and
products when needed.
ü Should have telecom background with sound knowledge in IMS/VoIP based
product upgrades.
ü Should attend project planning calls and generate required artifacts
needed to justify successful completion of upgrades at customer sites.
andü Should be responsible to get customer acceptance sign-off on the
Services Completion Form after software upgrades.
