*The Market Risk Business Analyst will function as part of Market Risk
Change team to cover the requirement for RBS to establish an Intermediate
Holding Company as per the Dodd Frank legislation.  *

*The individual sought for the position will have extensive experience
working in a change environment, with a bias towards Market Risk.  *

A demonstrable track record of successful project delivery is essential as
is the ability to hit the ground running and show early delivery in this
critical area of development.

Due to the nature of the business team in the US, the individual will be
expected to have a good understanding of the detail on the projects they
are responsible for and be able to get involved in the implementation if
required.



*M&IB Risk Technology provides:*

•Partnership with the Risk Functions to deliver process change

•Partnership with IT to deliver Systems Solutions

•The necessary Project Management and Business Analysis skills to support
the above from a Business perspective.

•Sign off for all system releases including upstream changes.



The main requirements for the role are as follows:



*Required Skills*

•Highly motivated individual with a proven background in Business Analysis,
system analysis, and system design

•Thorough understanding of the Project life-cycle and tools
/techniques/standards within each phase

•Demonstrable experience managing requirements for IT systems

•Candidate should have good experience in documenting process flows and
have good working SQL knowledge to do data analysis from systems

•Candidate should have relevant experience in producing test cases/scenarios

*•Daily interaction with Market Risk Managers who are a demanding user base*

•Capture and document business requirements to satisfy both the business
users and the technical users ensuring that sufficient detail, diagrams,
worked examples and, where practical, prototypes are provided

•Demonstrate the drive to ensure the business requirements are met

•*Handle multiple concurrent activities in parallel and prioritise
responsibilities making quick decisions and delivering quick wins where
possible*

*•Participate in the planning, execution and validation of system,
regression, and user acceptance testing*

•Manage user acceptance testing and training

•Display a high level of commitment and tenacity

•Ensure quality throughout the lifecycle of the deliverables

•Contribute to timely and effective project communications and reports
(create and distribute)

•Actively assist with client business stakeholder management

•Engage and liaise with relevant IT professionals for the benefit of the
project and its stakeholders

•Take ownership and manage multiple concurrent tasks/projects, and bring to
a successful completion, despite challenges and obstacles.

•Ensure all business related issues are recorded and actioned in a timely
manner

•Using accepted status reporting tools and channels, keep Project
Management and team appropriately appraised of progress and issues

•Actively contribute to the identification, qualification and mitigation of
risks.

This includes identifying a comprehensive set of risks, understanding the
impact of risk, and developing effective countermeasures to minimize and
eliminate risks

*Business experience*

•Candidate should be able to effectively communicate with both technical
and non-technical stakeholders

•In depth experience of Market Risk within Investment Banking or Asset
Management

•In depth understanding of at least 1 asset class with broad knowledge of
multiple asset classes



*Technical Skills*

•Excel, Access, strong SQL skills



*Supplementary Experience: (Useful additional skills)*

*•Abiltiy to write VBA or script*
