Role: DataStage developer immediately. Work Location : Pleasanton, CA Start Date : ASAP Duration : 12 months Description: This job requires handing the end-to-end software development lifecycle process for Development/Changes to various application modules within ETL/DataStage stream for the project. This involves estimating the effort required for the requested development, planning, executing and implementing the change to Production. The role requires to have core expertise in DataStage, ETL, Teradata, ESP and UNIX technologies as well as database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata etc. Also the job demands in-depth specialized knowledge of the Retail domain. Responsibilities: The candidate will be responsible for: • Shared responsibility of deliverables from UST for the ETL Development track in project team. • Prepare Interface Requirement/Design document based on requirements/use cases • Sound knowledge of all important stages in DataStage(File, DB, Sort, Lookup, Join, Filter, Aggregator, Transformer, Remove Duplicate etc) . • Good Knowledge in partitioning concepts, ETL, ELT design models. • Should be able to do performance tuning for optimum performance • Thorough understanding of SQL concepts • Good knowledge in UNIX shell script • Basic knowledge of DataStage Director , Administrator and deployment activities • Good knowledge about concepts of Data Warehouse • Should be able to schedule the jobs using 3rd party scheduler • Basic knowledge in Oracle, Teradata SQL functions (preferable) • Good communication and coordination skills • Strong Debugging, Error handling and Issue resolution skills • Should be able to do effort estimation Experience/Qualifications/Competencies: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Computer Science and Engineering) • 8 years of experience in Datastage/ETL Development, Implementation of the Datastage or backend track for the project. • Experience working with teams which are positioned in multiple geographical time zones. • Knowledge of SDLC, Scrum methodologies -- *CHRIS* *Chris@ <[email protected]>ksourceinc.com <http://ksourceinc.com>* *469-213-1611* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Hot List" group.
