This position provides consultation and direct technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and network configuration. The Senior Network Engineer is also responsible for project planning and designing of scale-able data network infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements for a high availability network. Develops and defines data network architecture which incorporates standards, practices, processes, and products for the enterprise. This senior position leads teams and provides consultation and direct technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and network configuration. Ensures network performance and availability meet enterprise objectives for timely service restoration and tuning. Drives the direction for the development and define network architecture which incorporates standards, practices, processes, and products for the enterprise. The Senior Network Engineer position requires an Associate's degree in an IT field, and 6 years applicable experience in the following network related areas: Design, analysis Local Area Network (LAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN) Skills should include: * Optimizing networks * MPLS and Internet services * Cisco Layer 2 & 3 switching * Cisco Nexus/6500 platforms * OSPF/BGP Routing Protocols * Sniffer/internet protocol analyzing is also desirable * Previous airline experience is preferred * Candidate must have excellent verbal and written skills * Must possess the technical expertise to apply relevant technical processes to appropriate business needs * Must be able to provide on-site, and on-call 7x24x365 support, as needed.
