Job ID: 2934-1 Job Title: Developer (Specialty) II Job Location: Richfield, MN 55423 Job Duration: 5 Months (possible extension) Type - C2C Business Overview: Candidate will be part of an engineering team to operate and administer applications used to support the software development lifecycle. Project Description: Ongoing software development lifecycle tools maintenance and administration. Responsibilities: The Jira and Confluence Engineer is responsible for administration, configuration and user support for BestBuy.com's JIRA and Confluence installations. The Developer will work directly with end-users and system administrators to better take advantage of JIRA and Confluence. * Serve as the primary user support contact for Atlassian tools * Create and configure JIRA projects * Create custom workflows, post functions, and validators * Open requests to Atlassian technical support * Make changes to workflows, screens, fields and reporting * Provide ongoing support and configuration maintenance * Serve as the Jira/Atlassian technical resource for tool upgrades * Develop user training as needed * Evaluate, vet, and recommend existing and new plugins Must Have Skills: * Five or more years of experience in software development organizations * Two or more years of experience with JIRA and Confluence administration * Two or more years of experience with agile development and continuous integration * Ability to create complex JIRA workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, notification schemes * Experience using REST services provided by Atlassian is a plus * Experience with Linux, DB administration, Tomcat server configuration and tuning, and JVM tuning is a plus * Experience with Opscode Chef is a plus Prescreening Questions: * When advising a development team on their usage of JIRA, what features or workflows would you typically recommend?
