Hi Job Title: Java Performance Analyst Location: Dallas region (Addison / Plano), TX Experience: 7+ years Technical skills: Java / J2EE, with high degree of exposure to design and architecture concepts, and industry best practices. Experience in performance engineering and/or JRules would be considered a plus. *Description:* Responsible for ensuring performance and stability of applications within Mortgage Technology that are built on Java Technology. Consistent Full Life Cycle projects (Waterfall / Agile). Some Financials, Long Term assignments, Previous experience designing and developing Mortgage applications. Ensure solutions have performance and stability built into the design and code prior to deployment to production. The role requires the applicant to conduct design reviews based on business requirements, high level and low level design documentation. The candidate will also perform code reviews and advise application teams with recommendations based on best practices and coding standards. Involved in monitoring, troubleshooting and fixing of performance related issues that surface during performance testing or production. May also assume some architecture duties, maintenance of highly scalable business and system architectures. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (and/or equivalent experience). This position is for a Senior Java developer with excellent analysis, monitoring, tuning skills. Resource will be assessing multiple .Net applications, working with numerous development teams. *Required Skills:* 1. Hands-on experience - 7+ years in Java, J2EE, Spring 2. Solid experience in designing three tier application architecture, design patterns 3. 2+ years experience with MQ 4. 4+ experience in performance monitoring tools and code profiling/tuning experience 5. Exposure to capacity planning and definition of service level agreements 6. Excellent Written and verbal communication skills *Plus:* AS400 (I-Series) – 1+ yr, classic JSP / windows application dev / access – 2+ yr, Prior Bank of America or Countrywide experience, Certification on Java technology (development, architecture) *PREFERRED SKILLS:* • 5-8 years performance engineering experience preferred (design, performance tuning, code profiling) • Architectural background, Large design reviews and code reviews • 5+ years development experience in Java, web services *Responsibilities:* • Must be able to review and analyze code providing recommendations to improve the design, ensure code meets documented standards, and improve performance and stability of the code. • Ability to work multiple projects at one time. Applicant will be exposed to multiple technologies integrating with Java solutions.
