*Interview mode: Phone then Skype* * Try to get local or Near BY* *Project Description:* *We are looking for a technical, highly-motivated, extremely organized hands-on Quality Assurance Lead with an Automation QA background. * This is a key team player in the successful development and integration of a multi-channel application for a top national retailer. This resource should be creative, resourceful, experienced in the Agile SDLC, and have been part of programs/projects with multiple system integrations both internally in the company, as well as externally with multiple vendors. *Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for:* *• Reports to Platform Program Manager * • Collaboratively coordinates testing of program solution with business requirements & designs. • Responsible for delivering iterative test results/progress • Works collaboratively with integrated enterprise systems to complete end-to-end testing • Develop, Maintain, and Execute test scenarios, both manual and automated • Creates and maintains test plans, cases/scripts, traceability matrix and various testing checklists • Manage test data requests for platform teams to support development and QA testing • Responsible for platform environment validation throughout the deployment process • Produces statistics and track metrics on QA testing against the plan and drive improvement ideas based on those metrics • Proactively manage automation roadmap and drive team towards continual improvement of the automated regression testing suite • Proactively identify ways to improve quality of the platform and mentor Quality team members • Support UAT activities with platform Business Analysts and Business Owners • Supports enterprise teams for security and performance testing • Work closely with Business Analysts, Architects, Project Managers, and Developers • Collaborate with other Mobile platform QA leads and develop testing strategies to create consistent, repeatable thorough testing processes through Mobile. • Continuously improve QA practices to improve team’s productivity and product quality, including Agile practices. *SKILLS DESIRED:* *1.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field- preferred* *2.Experience in managing and leading QA teams* 3.3+ years experience in leading Quality Assurance teams driving implementation and maintenance of automation and manual testing efforts 4.2+ years experience in working on Mobile platform projects (Android, Tablet) 5.3+ years experience with direct management of team resources. 6.5+ years in Quality Assurance and working within software industry in an Agile development environment, building web based systems. 7.Experience with cross-functional and remote teams for delivering quality products on a tight schedule. 8.Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical co-workers and customers 9.Knowledge of testing with web services and troubleshooting issues 10.The ideal candidate will have experience in the Retail market sector 11.The ideal candidate will have experience managing 5-8 concurrent projects 12.The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of managing their own workload as well as the workload of others on the team. 13.Must be comfortable in an agile, fast-paced, evolving environment *TECHNICAL SKILLS:* *1.Testing in SOA (Rest/Soap) * *2.Webservices Testing * 3.Driving implementation and maintenance of automation and manual testing– 3 years 4.Agile methodology background – 3 years *5.Backend/ db testing – 3 years* *6.Middleware experience – 3 years * 7.LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) 8.Experience with Automation Tools such as QTP: Required 9.Good understanding of reading and modifying XMLs. 10.Knowledge of testing with web services and troubleshooting issues *SOFT SKILLS: * *1.Candidate must* have a strong personality, be able to take initiative, ask questions and make constant improvements and suggestions 2.Must be able to voice opinion and take charge when needed 3.Efficient 4.Produces high-quality work 5.Excellent verbal and written communication skills 6.Extremely organized and detail oriented, and can setup projects in a logical organizational manner and define just enough process for the teams to be successful. 7.Comfortable with ambiguity and logically solves problems, but escalates as needed 8.Drives teams to completion and consistently hits deadlines 9.Strong presentation and customer service skills 10.Must be willing to work under strict timelines and pressure. 11.Be willing to participate in offshore calls.
