*Position: Diagnostics validation engineer*

*Location: Troy, MI*

*Full Time*



*Experience:* Minimum 5 years embedded testing experience using CANalyzer
and bench emulators.

*Education:* B.S in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
Diagnostics Validation engineer



*Specific responsibilities include:*

• Takes direction from the Software Systems Validation Manager.

• Responsible for the development test plans, test cases for validation of
diagnostics feature of Battery Management systems.

• Responsible for executing the test cases on desktop, bench and pack to
generate report and resolve ambiguities

• Works independently to execute work plans, provide status updates and
adjust to changing requirements.

• Participates in the Software Change Review Board, including providing
input and analysis and joining in the decision making process.

• Develops test report document, leads and supports design and test reviews.

• Tracks and analyses software requirements changes.

• Leads troubleshooting of software issues for both development and
production software releases, including troubleshooting software running on
electronics hardware, battery packs and vehicles.

• Ensures revision management of work products

• Supports Software development and Validation Team in reviewing validation
test procedures.



*Required Experience and Skills: *

• Excellent verbal and written English

• Good understanding of Diagnostics functionality in terms of DTCs, DID and
CPIDs.

• Experience with Major automotive microprocessors (Motorola/Freescale,
Intel, STMicro) preferred• Automotive network data structures, protocols, -
(e.g. FNOS, CAN, J1939)

• Good experience in HIL validation using dSPACEDesired Experience and
Skills

• Ability to interface well with internal and external customers

• Ability to work independently on a validation team

• Demonstrated history of delivering quality automotive embedded software
products to market• Knowledge and experience with Simulink will be helpful

• Background of BMS and HEV/EV is a definite plus

• Structured software validation methods (e.g. SPICE/CMMI)
preferred
