I have an urgent requirement below, please go through it and share your updated profile ASAP at *a <[email protected]>[email protected] <[email protected]>* Sumpter, South Carolina area. *Packaging Engineer:* This person would work on packaging issues like redesign, continuous improvement (cardboard to wood or vice versa, returnable containers, etc) considering cost implications for pumps and shafts. The packaging would be for internal plant to plant transport and also directly to customers. *JOB DUTIES:* Establish packaging and processing specifications at the part number level for new product introductions, cost savings, or other supply chain improvement. Communicate with existing facilities on packaging issues related to receiving, warehousing, and/or line side delivery. Perform cost analysis on current packaging processes and recommend changes where appropriate. Perform activities to ensure parts are protected, shipped, and delivered to the customer in a usable fashion. Key duties can include: - Develop packaging solutions to protect finished painted components - Design for transport efficiency - Perform containerization analysis, testing, and quoting - Validate new packaging and containers during pilot phase - Coordinate with operations for storage and ergonomic considerations - Develop kitting packaging - Validate returnable quantities through simulations - Resolve safety and / or quality issues caused by current packaging - Resolve issues reported by customers and process partners - Develop, communicate and maintain supplier packaging requirements - Audit conformance to packaging specification - Joint Process Improvement with packaging vendors and purchasing - Create packaging concepts using 3D modeling software (i.e. Pro-E) BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor of Science Degree (i.e. Packaging, Chemistry, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering) plus 3 to 5 years experience OR a minimum of 8-10 years of supply chain or operations experience - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to perform data query analysis (i.e. SAS, business objects) - Project Management experience - Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization and communication skills - Knowledge and understanding of 6 Sigma project management principles - Develop and deploy creative / original solutions to complex problems - Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures - Ability to work independently with minimal direction - Knowledge of material handling equipment - Capable of working and communicating with a variety of company and supplier personnel *Amith* *Sr. Recruitment Manager* *Zenith tech Solutions* *Desk: **518-621-004* <518-621-0048>*6* *Fax: **518-244-4977* <518-244-4977> *3 park Hill* *Albany, NY 12204* *[email protected] <[email protected]>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Hot List" group.
