We are seeking for senior Solaris System Administrator for Vernon
Hills, IL. It is a 9+ months contract assignment and it is through one of
our vendor. Could you please go through the below job description and

Qualifications
Extensive experience with Oracle/Sun Solaris (10 and 11) required
Experience supporting Solaris systems hosted in a virtual environment
Sizing for server migrations to support server refresh project
Significant familiarity with T-Series servers
Must have excellent people and organizational skills to professionally
interact with internal and external organizations.
Experience in supporting and troubleshooting Solaris Networking services
and protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, FTP, SSH, SNMP, IPMP, DLMP
Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center is a plus
Linux administration (Redhat)
Shell scripting preferred
Key Responsibilities
Coordinating system updates with vendors
Adhere to, and work within the confines of IT policies, standards and
procedures
Develop, gather and measure relevant productivity and capacity metrics (on
Demand)
Develop and document standard operating procedures
Determine/manage priorities, timelines and schedules
Interact regularly with Team members & Customers to understand their
business while anticipating their IT requirements.
Support Service deliverables as needed
Support Global operational teams with Solaris standalone and engineered
systems needs
Support and facilitate strategic global Infrastructure & Services
initiatives
