Position : Unix Admin Location : Nyc NY Duration : 12months Interview mode : Phone and in person 35hrs per week Please note: we need someone with Production Support experience and some one who can interact with user base as well. Skills: • UNIX/Sun Solaris 10.x Systems Administration/engineering skills working with large scale complex UNIX environment. • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.6/6.0 Systems Administration/engineering skills working with VMware Linux Server environment • VERITAS Cluster Server, VERITAS Storage foundation and other High Availability techniques in the UNIX environment • UNIX/Linux Server builds configuration, security hardening and fine tuning. • Server Backups and Restores using Symantec NetBackup. • Solaris Disk Suit or Solaris Volume Manager and ZFS. • Sun LDAP administration and troubleshooting • Shell scripting and /or Perl scripting experience • Oracle Exadata Linux Systems Administration skill a plus. • Senior Level IT Infrastructure knowledge related to servers and Operating Systems. Networks LAN/WAN, communications Protocols, Server Applications and Utilities, EMC storage array based SAN all of these in a large Scale Complex Enterprise Environment. Duties/Tasks • 35% UNIX/ Solaris 10.X Systems Administration of SUN SPARC Enterprise Server Operations • 35% Linux 5.6/6.X Systems Administration of x86 VMware Virtual Servers & Physical Servers Enterprise Server Ops • 25% UNIX/Linux Servers and Systems Architecture, Design & Troubleshooting tasks performed across the Server Fleet • 5% Process automation via Shell Script/Perl Script development and updating.
