*Data Warehousing / Business Intelligence Technical Specialist * *Location – Washington, DC*
*Duration – 12+ Months* *Interview Process – 1st Phone Interview / 2nd Face to Face interview (Skype is an option)* Tasks: - Provide technical guidance and subject matter expertise for components (databases, servers, storage, network, security and infrastructure design) with the Care Coordination Technical Infrastructure (CCTI) solution including partitioned DB2 databases and Cognos for business intelligence applications - Provide technical leadership and direct activities for a team of DBAs and system software engineers responsible for administration and maintenance of the components within the CCTI environments - Function as lead technical liaison with the business owners and IT teams from the BlueCross BlueShield Association (BCBSA) - Function as technical lead and liaison with vendors related to the infrastructure technologies in CCTI (hardware and system software, including DB2 and Cognos) - Provide technical oversight, direction, guidance and leadership of all activities executed as part of the CCTI Program suite of projects - Provide input to project managers on key milestones, deliverables, schedules/ timelines and communications with FEPOC and BCBSA stakeholders. Skills: - 3 – 5 years’ experience working with data warehousing and business intelligence tools - Understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts - Understanding of IBM DB2 partitioned databases - Experience in designing data warehousing and business intelligence infrastructure architecture to meet specified business needs or in response to evolving technologies - Strong communication skills with the ability to understand the subtleties of communicating in a fast-moving and politically charged environment - Strong collaboration and coordination skills with all levels of technical teams resources responsible for overall infrastrcutre support(network, data warehouse, AIX, UNIX, DB2, BI, ETL, etc) - Ability to work off-hours and weekends when necessary - Ability to take guidance and input from executive leadership and business owners and translate into actionable work efforts, tasks and deliverables. - Ability to translate high level business requirements into technical solutions design - Ability to understand and fulfill both internal and external customer needs, and deliver on agreed upon solutions and timelines - Ability to lead and provide direction across various technical teams across all BI and ETL applications including mid-tier system components - Ability to stay focused on true customer needs and approved requirements regardless of level of effort for delivering optimal solutions - Ability to participate and contribute with executive leadership for strategic planning for the CCTI program - Ability to make technical solution decisions based on proven best practices and standard operating procedures - Ability to develop and design practical and common sense technical solutions for meeting the customer needs and requirements - Ability to document and demonstrate best practices and standard operating procedures. - Experience with Microsoft Office products, at a minimum, Outlook, Word, Excel and Visio - Strong internal drive and motivation, intellectual curiosity and willingness to keep abreast of both current and emerging infrastructure and data warehouse technical solutions, ability to learn, and desire to help internal and external customers succeed in meeting their goals - Preferred candidate will be autonomous and independent and is comfortable working with minimal supervision - Ability to work proactively and independently in helping our organization meet the goals of our customers and success criteria for the CCTI suite of projects · Knowledge of ITIL a plus Software: · DB2 Databases used in data warehousing · Familiarity with Cognos or similar Business Intelligence tools · Familiarity with Ab Initio or similar ETL tool · Microsoft Office Suite Regards *Himanshu* 978-558-4666 x 104 *[email protected]* <[email protected]> 8875 Hidden River Parkway Suite 300 Tampa,FL 33637 *www.*teknavigators.com DISCLAIMER: This message and any attachments are solely for the use of the individual or entity to which it is addressed and may contain information that is privileged or confidential.
