Must be able to work overtime or holidays on an as-needed basis. • Ability to be called back periodically to perform work as needed on an emergency basis. • Ability to rotate evening, weekend, and holiday "on-call" hours, and be reached in support of production processing. *Required Skills: * 1. Thorough working knowledge and demonstrated experience with Cisco equipment in an enterprise environment. Alcatel Lucent experience is preferred. 2. Thorough working knowledge and demonstrated experience managing data network configurations for layer 2, layer 3 and network security devices. Thorough working knowledge of Domain Name Service, in general, and BIND specifically. 3. Thorough working knowledge and demonstrated experience managing VPN systems. 4. Thorough working knowledge of industry standard data network design practices techniques. Demonstrated experience designing and implementing data networks and related support applications. 5. Thorough working knowledge of current network routing protocols for data systems such as OSPF, BGP and EIGRP. 6. Strong experience with Unix/Linux server environments. 7. Thorough working knowledge of testing practices and troubleshooting procedures associated with network support. 8. Demonstrated ability to independently develop and adapt data networks to meet user needs. 9. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply regulatory standards and technical specifications. 10. Thorough working knowledge of testing practices and troubleshooting procedures associated with network support. 11. Demonstrated ability to independently develop and adapt data networks to meet user needs. 12. Ability to identify, document, and assess impact of assigned network system failures, and to develop appropriate recovery plans. 13. Demonstrated ability to work with technical and non-technical staff to identify user requirements and translate them into technology-based solutions. 14. Ability to apply campus information security policy and standards to develop specific security requirements. Ability to apply security models and frameworks to ensure appropriate security is maintained. 15. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 16. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set own priorities to coordinate multiple assignments with fluctuating and time-sensitive deadlines.
