I have an urgent position with my direct client, please share resume with contact details. *Position: Network Security Engineer* *Location:- Bethpage, NY 11714* *Duration: 6+ months (possible extension)* *No of positions – 5 * *Local candidate only who can come for face to face interview tomorrow* *Job Description:* Provide network security design, implementation and consulting for data and converged communications infrastructure based largely on Cisco equipment. While performing this role the candidate will be responsible for: · Perform network engineering tasks such as designing and implementing firewall rules, establishing VPNs with partner companies, performing AAA administration, designing and implementing access control lists, and installing software upgrades on network and security equipment. · Engage Operations and IT Project teams to analyze security risks, propose mitigations and lead security improvement projects · Leading technical teams (including staff, vendors, and consultants) to identify and resolve complex, client application and hardware problems impacting availability and performance of the systems · Acting as the primary resource to client and IT staff in all phases of implementation and support process and provide high level support and consultation to business and IT management. · Working with project and development teams to ensure solutions are aligned with support requirements and that the transition and delivery of new systems or upgrades are seamlessly transitioned to production support teams and suppliers · Knowledge and ability to perform the roles of Network Engineer routing and switching. *After hours callout is required in the performance of the duties and responsibilities of this position.* *Required Skills, Competencies, Education or Experience:* *· At least 7 years of progressively complex networking and security experience including hands on experience with Cisco products – ASA firewalls, ACS TACACS, routers, switches* *· 5 or more years of experience implementing solutions with a concentrated focus on security, performance, scalability, and reliability* *· 5 or more years of experience implementing Checkpoint firewalls* *· Expert understanding and working knowledge of TCP/IP, access-control lists, VPNs, firewalls, SSL, IPSEC, and dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF and EIGRP* *· Excellent problem solving / analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools* *· Cisco certifications – Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Data Center or Route/Switch* *Desired Skills, Competencies, Education or Experience:* · 5 or more years of experience implementing F5 Load balancers · Cisco certifications – Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) · Experience with and general understanding of NERC/CIP rules and procedures · Excellent analytical and problem solving ability · Understanding of general IT standards, policies, best practices, guidelines, processes. · Ability to document and present material to Senior Level Management *Thanks & Regards,* Himanshu Sharma | Sr. Technical Resource Specialist | PeopleNTech, LLC.
