*JD - L2 Network Engineer*

The Network Engineer L2 is responsible for supporting WAN/LAN operations
for a large corporate environment. The engineer has technical and
operational responsibility for the hardware and systems under the Network
team. This includes Routers, Switches, Wireless Access points, WAN
optimizer/accelerators, circuits, etc.



*Primary Responsibility:*

Deliver LAN/WAN technical support - Wide Area Routing and Local Area
Switching Architecture and troubleshooting.

Provides daily troubleshooting support for Routing, Switching, and Wireless
Services for global infrastructure.

Routing and Switching route cause analysis (RCA) for Day 2 operations
supporting identification and resolution for network events.

Work assigned tickets to determine the point of failure and resolve
problems remotely utilizing available tools and other Operation Center
resources.

Work & escalate problems effectively in order to meet customer SLA's
(service level agreements); escalate to L3 other engineers or Management if
unable to resolve the issue.

Perform problem management and root cause analysis for customers as
required.

Maintain all assigned tickets with up to date information in our ticketing
system.

Works on projects/ systems/issues of medium to high complexity surrounding
network planning, configuration and optimization.

Work on Change management requests and Support service quality metrics.





*Mandatory Technical Skills:*

6+ years of expertise in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting
network infrastructure devices, including: routers, switches, wireless
access points, controllers, WAN optimizers and monitoring applications

Extensive knowledge and experience in Network Management including
configuration and implementation.

Extensive troubleshooting experience with Cisco routers 7600, 7200, 3900,
3800 Series.

Extensive troubleshooting experience with Cisco Catalyst 65XX, 45XX and
other Catalyst Series switches.

Extensive troubleshooting experience with Cisco Nexus 9K/5K/2K Series of
switches.

Extensive troubleshooting experience with Wireless LAN Controllers
AIR-WLC/CT, Access Points AIR-AP/CAP/LAP.

Extensive troubleshooting experience with Cisco WAAS technology, WAN
Optimizer/Accelerators.

Knowledge on monitoring, automation tools: Science Logic, Netbrain,
LiveAction, Cisco ACI and ExtraHop.



*Typical Years of Experience:*

6+years of experience

Education Qualifications:

Any Graduate/BE/B.Tech

Preferred Qualifications:

Engineering Background with CCNA/CCNP



*Mandatory Skills:*

Self-driven and motivated to achieve success

Experience with major incident management

Must have excellent communication and inter-personal skills

Customer service skills and client focus

Should be a great team player
