*Hi,*

*Kindly let me know if you are comfortable on below position.*

*Position: ETL / Informatica Engineer*

*Location: Parsippany NJ *

*Duration: 3 Months*

*MUST HAVE EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS*

*Must do Onsite Interview*

We are developing a financial data warehouse connecting the Oracle ERP
system with a SQL*server/ SharePoint analytics Data warehouse. For Data
integrations we use Informatica. Oracle runs in a LINUX environment. Rest
is all Microsoft based.

The ETL consultant should work under supervision of Manager Data
Integration to create and maintain all ETL process between oracle and the
data warehouse. Various business rules need to be build-into the ETL
environment.

It’s a very small team – meaning a person who understands end-to-end
integrations and not just the Informatica tool.

Some aspects I am looking for:

· An ETL engineer who has:

o In-depth knowledge of Informatica which is obvious.

o Understands how to design and implement ETL processes in a maintainable
way

o Able to create batch files/scripts to support non-informatica based
file transfers etc.

o Understands how to work with data encryption / decryption and secure
file transfer feeding from and into the databases and external environment

o Able to create merge and update scripts for master table maintenance
(understands how to refresh tables in an efficient and effective way

o Understands and knows how to test and quality check the developed
processes

o Not only building the integrations with Informatica but also needs to
be able to quality check and test thorough the solution.

o Document the development processes and business rules (outside of the
Informatica tool) and using Visio and design templates.

o Able to make robust solution which don’t need maintenance on a daily
base.
Meaning build solutions needs to be robust enough to handle simple and
complex errors and self-recovery
Hence solutions need to work without a person monitoring all interfaces on
a day to day base, but get alerted when something goes wrong and needs
attention of a specialist.
